Charlotte Finance Society
Charlotte Finance Society (CFS) is a student-run organization at UNC Charlotte that aims to educate and prepare students for careers across the finance industry while facilitating strong internship and career placement outcomes. CFS bridges academic learning with practical training by hosting corporate events, professional workshops, and technical training sessions.
The Society provides opportunities for students to build skills in areas such as valuation, markets, M&A, and quantitative analysis while connecting with industry professionals through speaker series and networking sessions. CFS also organizes case study competitions, career panels, and collaborative projects designed to mirror real-world finance workflows and develop the next generation of leaders in the field.

Faculty Advisor
Dr. Yufeng Han
M.S. in Math Finance Program Director and Professor
Dr. Yufeng Han joined the Belk College faculty as an associate professor of finance in 2016. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, he served as a faculty member at the University of Colorado Denver and Tulane University. Dr. Han’s primary research interests are empirical asset pricing, investment, mutual funds, and econometrics. He has published in Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Real Estate Economics and many other finance and economics journals.
